Edit This Event

Iolanthe has been banned from Fairyland because she married a mortal! Her son, Strephon (half fairy, half mortal) is in love with Phyllis, a ward of chancery, but so is the Lord Chancellor and most of the House of Lords! The ensuing battle between fairies and lords demonstrates Gilbert’s political satire at its best - just as relevant today as it was in 1882. Set to some of Sullivan’s finest music, Iolanthe is a highly entertaining show for all age groups.
