Othello - 10 July

“If the aggressor strikes first, then he’ll attack”. One of the greatest tragedies ever written, Othello shows us how truly devastating jealousy and ignorance can be. Set on a local council estate, Othello is a gritty, explosive and passionate play, daring to confront the monsters of our society head on. Inspired by today’s pivotal issues of knife crime, and racial prejudice, we give Othello a 21^st Century voice that can’t be ignored; bringing light to matters that are kept in the dark.

Coriolanus - 11 July

Coriolanus is a successful general who won many battles for the people of Rome. He is urged to go into politics and become Consul of Rome but just hated the game of having to play up to the fickle population, But his strong mother, Volumnia urges him to do so. However, he soon grows tiered of bending to the people's will and then things get messy. This is an adaptation of one of Shakespeare most violent works with an aggressive modern soundtrack and a fast passed physical edge which highlights some of the parallels in today's society. 

Titus Andronicus - 11 July

“Vengeance is in my heart, death in my hand, Blood and revenge are hammering in my head”. Titus Andronicus plays out the proverb of revenge being a dish best served cold, taking it to its most gruesome extremes. This is a blood-soaked, absurd and violent play, including some of the most challenging and grisly moments ever to be portrayed on-stage. Taking a Tarantino inspired approach; combining the blackest of comedy and genre-defying influences, we aim to drag this play kicking and screaming into the 21^st Century.
