It’s 1985! Romford Market is a bustling, chaotic and eclectic slice of Essex life. The market is teeming with wheelers, dealers, blaggers and chancers trying to sell their wares and make a few bob, in a Thatcherite England that celebrates capitalism.

We follow the story of 13-year-old, Boy, as he navigates his turbulent teenage years learning everything about the world, and women, from Trader and the other shoe-stall lads, amidst a huge host of other characters who inhabit the market day to day. This talented cast play over 40 different characters with energy, commitment and stamina. It's a play like no other!
